Yesterday afternoon I was on a conference call with some very powerful people from all around the country. It was intended to be a one-hour call, but turned into a 3-hour one (if we had been on a boat, we would have had time to drift off course and become stranded on Gilligan's Island...haha.)
The topic of our extremely engaging, profoundly interesting and highly insight-filled discussion was how to empower mainstream Americans to take control of their finances, eliminate debt and build real wealth.
And the bigger challenge? ... how to do this at no cost...
What? ... Providing valuable services at no cost?
I know that sounds like blasphemy to the traditional financial community (who functions on fees for assets under management), but our classic professional planning model is to look for clients with loads of cash to "manage," show your skills, earn their trust and charge them fees. This method only is profitable if you joint the country club and seek out the top 1-2% of Americans...those with significant assets to manage.
Where does that leave the other 98% of America? Right... underserved, struggling and alone.
